]]> We went fro a drive to Ba Srae for the weekend to visit the family and to conduct a reconnaissance for the wedding accommodation possibilities. The results of the reconnaissance can be seen in the link on the Accommodation page. In between times we just hung out, talked and laughed, slept in hammocks, watched the kids playing and woke up with the cows and chickens. Here’s a few photos:

This is the state of the road from the tar-sealed road to Ba Srae (the location of the wedding). It’s really good at this point as they have just graded it in preparation for tar sealing.

Sokha’s Aunt’s house. This place will probably have floor space for guests on the day of the wedding.

Sokha’s Sister-in-law prepare a dress for the wedding. It takes at least a couple of months and is adorned with sequins and all sorts of amazing designs.

This is Sokha’s Uncle’s house. It is about 1km down the road from the wedding village.

Sokha’s Auntie preparing cakes to be sold at the market for later.

Ted gets his provincial bath. Always a lot of laughs when that happens ;o)
