If you are arriving from an international destination and need accommodation in Phnom Penh then the best thing to do is to contact us. We are able to arrange all the accommodation for international guests if required. Please note that we will be arranging transportation to and from the wedding. Thus it will be easier for us if your accommodation is in a convenient location. There are many, many, many good and inexpensive hotels very close to where we stay and we feel that we will be able to find exactly what you need.
The upshot is – once you know your travel dates then contact us (see the CONTACTS tab above) and let us know the dates along with a price range of what you would like to pay per day. We can then get back to you with a range of options for you.
In Ba Srae, where the wedding will be held, accommodation options are a lot more limited. Ba Srae is located in between the Vietnamese border and Highway 2 (main highway to Takeo – see the LOCATION tab above). The best accommodation is located either in Preah Levear (10km north of Ba Srae) or Angkor Borei (10km south of Ba Srae) where there are guest houses with air-con, good bathrooms , TV and large comfortable beds. There will also be accommodation in the village but it will generally involve sleeping on a mattress on the floor of a wooden house. Believe me when I say that the people in the village are very accommodating, friendly and only too willing to help your stay be as comfortable as possible.
We will be investigating all forms of accommodation that will be available and, again, we urge you to let us book the accommodation. It will be more convenient for us and we believe you will be more likely to get the accommodation that is right for you. We will more than likely book out a guest house in Preah Levear for the wedding period.
